Ford has issued a safety recall for several popular models due to a risk of exterior parts detaching while driving.
Around 174,850 vehicles are affected by the recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration .
Documents filed with the highway safety agency stated that clips for the moonroof’s wind deflector aren’t adequately attached to the frame of the vehicle. Because of this, the wind deflector may detach from the vehicle.
The recall affects a mix of pickup and SUV models recently sold across both the Ford and Lincoln brands, including:
2021-2022 Ford Expedition
2021-2023 Ford F150
2021-2022 Lincoln Navigator
2022 Ford F250 SD
2022 Ford F350 SD
2022 Ford F450 SD
