MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Monroe Police have arrested 24-year-old Travis Payton in connection with a triple homicide.

MPD arrested Payton on three counts of first-degree murder, home invasion and criminal conspiracy.

The shooting happened in the 2000 block of Grammont Street just before 3 a.m. on Oct. 28.

Officers said they found the bodies of 27-year-old Jamal Bosley, 25-year-old Jaborris Simpson and a 2-year-old child at the scene.

MPD said they remain committed to bringing all individuals involved to justice, and they will not stop until all are held accountable.

The City of Monroe released a statement on Facebook the day the homicides happened.
