Former Duke and NBA player Kyle Singler has been charged with assault in Oklahoma.

Haskell County deputies say Singler and his girlfriend were staying at an Airbnb in Whitefield in eastern Oklahoma when he allegedly tried to rape her, grabbed her and pushed her down last Thursday.

Mitch Dobbs, with the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, told News 9 that the woman had marks on her face consistent with Singler’s handprints. Singler, 37, appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and refused to cooperate with investigators, he said.

A toddler in the home at the time of the incident was deemed safe. The alleged victim told deputies she shares the young child with Singler.
