New details on Terry Rozier’s financial troubles, at least partially, explain why he decided to get himself involved in an illegal gambling ring.

Last Thursday, the FBI announced the arrests of 34 individuals for their involvement in an illegal sports betting ring and “fixed” poker games backed by New York crime families. Those arrested included Terry Rozier of the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups and former NBA player Damon Jones.

Regarding the fixed poker games, it was reported that the conspirators used cheating tactics such as hidden cameras, X-ray machines built into the tables and special glasses/contact lenses to read pre-marked cards.
