Transit Police report arresting a 14-year-old on charges he threatened somebody with what appeared to be a working firearm - with an actual working laser sight in the commuter-rail side of South Station around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
"He was engaged in a verbal dispute with an adult male and brandished the replica firearm and made a direct threat to the victim," Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said, adding "the victim, and those in close proximity, believed the firearm to be real."
Somebody called 911, police arrived and now the kid, too young to have his name released, faces a charge of being delinquent for assault with a dangerous weapon.
