LAWRENCE — Kansas football’s disappointing effort against Kansas State in a rivalry matchup this past weekend saw the Jayhawks lose 42-17.

KU (4-4, 2-3 in Big 12) wasn’t able to build off of a comeback effort that saw it make things a one-score, 21-14 game going into halftime. For the second-straight game, it was dominated in the second half. K-State (4-4, 3-2) coasted to a win in this Big 12 Conference clash.

Kansas doesn’t have much time to dwell on what happened, though, considering its next game is Saturday at home against Oklahoma State. Although the Cowboys (1-7, 0-5) have struggled through the fall and gone through a coaching change, as the Jayhawks continue on their way toward bowl eligibility they can’t overlook anyone.
