The Pattullo Bridge will be closed to northbound vehicle traffic Thursday night as part of work for the bridge replacement project, says TransLink.
Drivers heading toward New Westminster via the bridge are advised to take alternate routes.
The northbound lanes will be closed starting 9 p.m. on Thursday until 5 a.m. on Friday.
The closure is due to repaving work on the bridge connector and the Royal Avenue off-ramp in New West, said TransLink in an advisory issued Wednesday.
“Construction equipment will be positioned near both northbound lanes on the bridge, making the lane closures necessary,” it said.
Annual inspections of the bridge will also be conducted at the same time, requiring the use of the northbound lanes.
