As the Shenandoah County School Board prepares to submit an updated school infrastructure vision to the Board of Supervisors, a decision that could shape the future of elementary and career-and-technical education for years to come, county leaders say they still lack the details necessary to back a major capital investment.
Supervisor Tim Taylor told fellow board members at their Tuesday meeting that while the School Board voted earlier this year to reaffirm Option C, a plan calling for a new elementary school, renovations at Triplett Tech, and renovations or replacements at Sandy Hook, Ashby-Lee and W.W. Robinson elementary schools, the proposal remains too conceptual to move forward.
