LINCOLN, N.D. (KUMV) - A former Lincoln Clerk of Court pleaded not guilty to stealing thousands of dollars during her time with the city.

Sarah Maenza was charged in August for stealing more than $30,000.

An investigation into Maenza’s tenure started three years ago when officials believed she wasn’t adding office fines into the accounting system.

Investigators say she worked in Lincoln from 2015 to 2021, when she was fired.

Maenza denied the claim, telling police another individual was using her account.
