Authorities are investigating the death of a 19-year-old University of Mississippi student.

The Lafayette County Sheriff's Office stated Lafayette County 911 received a call at approximately 9:06 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, regarding an unresponsive individual.

The sheriff's office said deputies responded and discovered Knox Carter Boudreau, 19, of Decatur, Georgia, dead near Thacker Mountain Road and County Road 303.

Authorities said foul play is not suspected though a cause of death is unknown, as of this publication.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is leading the investigation.
