A 28-year-old man from Leask is facing charges after allegedly crashing into an RCMP vehicle while fleeing from police earlier this month, ahead of a brief crime spree.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon by the Saskatchewan RCMP, the alleged incident happened back on Oct. 15, on the Mistawasis Nêhiyawak First Nation. Police said officers were called to the First Nation at around 11 a.m. for a report about a suspicious camper trailer.
