WILKES-BARRE — A man from New Jersey filed a civil lawsuit in Luzerne County Court against a local McDonald’s Family Restaurant, alleging a chicken nugget he bit contained a bone that resulted in the extraction of a tooth.
Marcus Carter, of Keansburg, filed a four-count lawsuit through Attorney Robert S. Betnar of Pittston, and names McDonald’s Corporation of Chicago, Ill., and the franchise QSC Enterprises, Inc., in Kingston, which owns the McDonald’s Family Restaurant on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard in Wilkes-Barre Township.
According to the lawsuit:
On Nov. 15, 2023, Carter stopped at McDonald’s in Wilkes-Barre Township and purchased food, including a 20-piece McNuggets.
Carter bit into a nugget and immediately felt pain in the back of his mouth, the suit alleges.
