A man has been charged after a man was injured in an alleged stabbing in a Scots town.
The alarm was raised at around 12pm on Tuesday, October 28, when police were alerted to an incident on Greenhead Avenue in Stevenston, North Ayrshire .
Emergency crews, including officers and paramedics, raced to the scene, where a 56-year-old man had sustained injuries
The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow .
The full extent of his injuries and his current condition is not yet known.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident which police are treating as attempted murder.
He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
