SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (PIX11) — With ominous, grey skies over a troubled ocean Wednesday, the Jersey Shore is in store for a storm that could bring high winds and coastal flooding on Thursday.
"One to two inches of rain, usually the town handles pretty good," said Long Branch OEM coordinator Stan Dziuba. "We do have crews out today, DPW is out all over cleaning drains, making sure everything's ready, checking the creeks, making sure they're draining properly and there's no blockages or anything like that."
With chilly winds picking up on Wednesday and potential to pick up again by the end of the week, officials are expecting some beach erosion.
