COLUMBUS, Ohio — "Acts of Pride" is a short play showcase featuring LGBTQIA+ characters across nine different stories.

"I always say that, even though these are queer stories and queer characters, the themes that are in [the stories] of living and love and loss and regret [are] just universal themes that anybody can identify with," said actor and director James Blackmon. "It's just that they're told through the queer lens."

Blackmon, who is producing the anthology of staged works through his company JB3 Entertainment , selected stories that not only showcase LGBTQIA+ characters, but he intentionally chose pieces that explore the diverse nature of queer community.
