MADISON (WKOW) — Dane County Regional Airport is seeking community feedback on its Amended Draft Noise Compatibility Program .

The public comment period is open until Nov. 24.

The program includes measures to reduce aircraft noise and improve land use around the airport, according to a press release. Community members can review materials online or at the airport and Lakeview Public Library.

Mark Papko, executive director of Dane County Regional Airport, emphasized the importance of community input.

"The Airport’s goal is to ensure the Noise Compatibility Program reflects the needs and values of our community," Papko said.

Three open houses will be held in November for public participation. Events are scheduled for Nov. 6 and 7 at the Airport Terminal Lobby, and Nov. 8 at Madison
