Wind advisory affecting 3 N.J. counties Thursday – wind gusts reaching 50 mph

On Wednesday at 2:08 p.m. a wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Thursday between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. for Monmouth, Ocean and Burlington counties.

The weather service adds, “East winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
