MERIDIAN, Idaho — The Idaho State Police Forensic Services (ISPFS) released its annual Toxicology Report for 2025 on Wednesday. The report shows that ISP handled the highest number of drug cases in the last 10 years.
ISP says the report offers a detailed analysis of alcohol, volatile substance, and drug testing trends across Idaho.
Some key highlights of the report include:
ISPFS received 3,419 toxicology cases in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025—the highest number in the last ten years, representing a 12.25% increase (373 additional cases) from 2024.
Among adult DUI cases requiring both alcohol and toxicology testing, 90% of toxicology results found at least one drug present.
For juvenile DUI-related alcohol samples, 88% of the 90 juvenile DUI samples exceeded the under-21 legal limit of 0.02%.
