The Millet Lightning came away from a set of back-to-back games one and one last week.
The Lightning, who are currently 11th in the NorAlta Jr. C Hockey League, took on the last place Junior Braves at the Grand Trunk Arena in Edmonton Thursday and showed their hosts no mercy with a 10-5 win.
The Braves opened the scoring in the first period, with Lighting Dominick Gravell coming back to tie the game. Sixteen seconds later, the Braves moved ahead before the Lightning struck with a trio of goals from Colton Grapentine, Hayden Thomson and Gabe Ganske to head into the first intermission up 4-2.
In the second, Jack Graham, Ganske, Joel Van Doesburg and Dominick Gravell extended the distance, making it 8-2 before the Braves fired back to make it 8-3. Thomson added one more in the second then
