ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Police confirmed on Wednesday that the fatal fire on Twiller Street that took place on October 6 was determined as being the direct result of arson. Police announced on October 21 that the incident had been deemed suspicious.

The five victims killed in the house fire have since been identified as 52-year-old Erick DeCamp, 47-year-old Eric Peterson, and three children, including a 3-year-old girl, a 4-year-old boy, and a 6-year-old girl, whose names will not be released due to their ages. The building was demolished on October 8.

The fatal incident is currently being investigated as a homicide by Albany Police, who are working alongside the Albany Fire Department, the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and the Albany County District Attor
