The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles have acquired cornerback Michael Carter in a blockbuster trade with the New York Jets.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets have traded Michael Carter and a 2027 seventh-round draft selection to the Eagles in exchange for wide receiver John Metchie and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
The Eagles had acquired John Metchie in an offseason trade with the Houston Texans. He appeared in seven games for Nick Sirianni’s squad, catching four passes for 18 yards in a limited role.
With the Nov. 4 trade deadline approaching, teams are rapidly working the phones and finalizing deals.
