LOS ANGELES -- Turn up the heat at home with "The Roses."
Starring Olivia Colman (Ivy Rose) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Theo Rose), the Roses live a seemingly picture-perfect life. They have the perfect marriage, business, home and kids, but beneath it all, a fire is igniting.
Jay Roach directs "The Roses," a reimagining of the 1989 film "The War of the Roses," based on the novel by Warren Adler.
On The Red Carpet caught up with Roach to celebrate the digital release, where he explained the role food plays in the film.
"Oliva Colman's character dreams of being a chef. It becomes a story about her expanding those restaurants and finding herself through food. Food becomes both a weapon and a source of sensual, you know, enjoyment. So, it's a really wonderful food-based film."
