ST. RAPHAEL’S — Representatives from the Glengarry Fencibles Trust, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 544 in Lancaster, Iona Academy Catholic School, and project supporters gathered to celebrate the installation of a commemorative plaque outside of the historic Bishop’s House on Wednesday.
Created by local artist Noella Cotnam, who was in attendance during the event, the new plaque commemorates how the grounds at the Bishop’s House were used for the military parade of the Glengarry Fencibles Regiment during the War of 1812.
