Former LSU coach Nick Saban would consider a return to Baton Rouge “if they came up with a package,” ESPN College Insider Paul Finebaum says.

Saban won the first of his seven national championships at LSU before winning six more at SEC rival Alabama.

With LSU having bought out Brian Kelly for $54 million, Finebaum says the school should make a pitch to Saban, now working on ESPN’s “College GameDay.”

“Saban left in ’05 to go to the Dolphins. [Former Dolphins owner] Wayne Huizenga offered him this deal.
