Srinagar, Oct 29: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office (JKBO), successfully conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme on Standardization at the Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JK IMPARD).

The programme witnessed active participation from 22 officials representing two key departments of the Union Territory — Jal Shakti and Roads & Buildings (R&B).

The introductory session was conducted by BIS Resource Person, Umar Mukhtar, who briefed the participants about the importance of standards and the role of BIS in ensuring quality and safety across sectors.
