POUGHKEEPSIE – A 25-year-old Hyde Park man has been arrested by City of Poughkeepsie police after he allegedly pulled a 15-year-old girl into an alley on South White Street between Church and Main Streets on Monday. Police have charged Andrew Kosmider with the felonies of attempted robbery and unlawful imprisonment, along with the misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child following the October 27, 2025 incident said to have occurred around 9:30 a.m.

Detective Lieutenant Sean McCarthy says that Kosmider allegedly followed a 15-year-old female on South White Street, grabbed her, placed his hand over her mouth, and attempted to pull her into an alley.
