LUDINGTON — After etching their names into the Ludington High School record books more than once on Friday, the Ludington varsity football team has the chance to further cement that legacy this week.

On Friday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. the Orioles (9-0, 6-0) welcome Big Rapids (8-1, 5-0) to town for the opening round of Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Division 4 football playoffs.

“We are certainly happy to be playing at home this week,” Ludington head coach Charlie Gunsell said. “For the most part we have played well at home all year. In regards to this game, Big Rapids is a senior heavy football team that is not going to be intimidated by playing on the road.”

Although the stakes are ratcheted up, coach Gunsell has kept his team focused on one thing – putting in the work.
