DENVER (KDVR) — Advertisements on windows of the Regional Transportation District's buses and trains will be no more, as the agency's board of directors has now approved a new update to its advertising policy.
On Tuesday evening, RTD's board of directors voted on the new policy update, restricting advertising that covers windows on its commuter rail and light rail vehicles, as well as its buses. The new update, approved by a 9-4 vote, was to enhance "the customer experience."
RTD said before the approved update was considered, one of RTD's Board of Directors, Brett Paglieri, had supported its amendment as "prohibiting advertising on windows contributes to a better rider experience on every journey.”
