SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Whether you like it or not, the time has come to reclaim one hour that was stolen back in March.

This Sunday is the first Sunday of November, and Michiana will once again switch back to the standard time zone as daylight saving time comes to an end.

Did you know that our region used to have different rules when it comes to daylight saving time? Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan began observing it back in 1973, while counties in Indiana have been observing it since 2006.

Next year will mark 60 years since President Lyndon B. Johnson signed an executive order to implement daylight saving time nationwide. There has since been a lot of grumblings about the time changing twice a year.
