A teenager left a schoolboy with a broken jaw after a roadside attack. Joshua Clark, 19, attacked the secondary school age child, leaving him with a broken jaw.

The youngster underwent surgery to have a plate fitted and a tooth removed after the assault on the evening of October 7, 2024. Clark and his dad were travelling in a Volkswagen Caddy when they screeched to a halt after seeing the boy walking along Braemar Road, Hartlepool , with a pal.

Teesside Crown Court heard Clark got hold of the boys jacket and punched him in the jaw twice. The boy ran to a friend's home with his jaw "throbbing." His mum was called and she took him to hospital. The boy underwent surgery for a fractured jaw at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough the next day.
