Plans have been lodged to expand a town rugby club to provide new modern changing facilities. Proposals have been submitted to carry out the work at Hartlepool Rovers Rugby Football Club in West View Road.

The application from club bosses would see an extension to the existing clubhouse to provide four new changing rooms equipped with dedicated toilet and shower facilities, along with additional storage.

A design and access statement submitted to Hartlepool Borough Council supporting the development outlines how it seeks "to deliver enhanced sporting facilities" and boost "the viability and capacity of the rugby club."
