LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - On Thursday, the DHHS website displayed a note mirroring language found on the USDA website , blaming Democrats for the halt in SNAP benefits as well.

On Wednesday , the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services announced it was pausing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits the following day.

The note also echoes the sentiment of Gov. Jim Pillen’s statement — who referenced the “Schumer Shutdown” — included in Tuesday’s news release from DHHS about pausing the benefits:
