If you've ever wanted to own one of the founding vineyards in the Canberra wine region, now is your chance.

The landmark vineyard and destination estate, Lake George Winery, is looking for a new owner.

Sitting alongside the elusive Lake George at 173 The Vineyards Road, the winery was one of the vineyards to start the capital's wine region more than 50 years ago, with vines first planted by Edgar Riek.

At about 112.8 hectares, the property now includes an architecturally designed cellar door, Westering Restaurant, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and multiple ceremony locations overlooking the vines and lake. Accommodation options include The Homestead, Olive Cottage, and boutique tiny homes.
