HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The lawyer for Kosta Diamantis, Connecticut’s former deputy budget director, has filed a motion for a post-trial hearing.
Norm Pattis, Diamantis’ lawyer, says remarks made by the jury foreman to the media raise questions of jury misconduct.
“Despite the trial court’s order to jurors not to discuss their deliberations with anyone, including the press, the foreman of the jury, Juror 22, walked out the courthouse door after the verdict was recorded and delivered the following statement: She avoided news accounts of the case during trial, noting that while she had not heard of the case before trial, others on the panel had,” the motion said.
Pattis claims her remarks show one or more jurors were not truthful with the Court on their prior knowledge of the case.
