MANCHESTER, CT. (WFSB) - A 32-year-old Manchester woman sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Manchester Tuesday evening.

The crash happened at around 6:47 p.m. near Center Street.

A 77-year-old man was driving westbound on Center Street when he struck the woman. The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional information is asked to contact Officer Nicholas Sinopoli at 860-533-8620.
