COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Multiple law firms say they are investigating United Homes Group, Inc., a residential builder headquartered in Columbia, after its stock fell following several board of directors members announcing their intentions to resign.
UHC said six of its board members, including former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley and current Clemson University president Dr. James P. Clements, have said they will resign following the Executive Chairman’s refusal to step down from his position and forgo any compensation he is still entitled to under his employee agreement.
A resignation letter said the directors believed the company’s existing management team could better navigate the current market environment and address operational challenges without its current executive
