KENNEWICK, Wash. – A 15-year-old was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a stolen firearm, the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) reported.
The incident took place around 10:12 a.m. in the 7300 block of West Bonnie Avenue. The arrest followed an investigation involving the juvenile suspect who was reported to be in unlawful possession of a firearm.
KPD officers, along with the KPD Criminal Apprehension Team, located the suspect at his home and safely detained him. After obtaining a search warrant, they searched the residence and found the handgun involved.
Officials discovered that the handgun had been stolen in Tacoma.
According to KPD, the juvenile suspect was booked into the Benton Franklin Juvenile Center on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen
