A week after the Frederick County Planning Commission voted to recommend shrinking a proposed county data center zoning overlay map, the County Council discussed the issue Tuesday without commenting on the recommendation.
Following a lengthy public hearing, the Planning Commission voted on Oct. 22 to recommend reducing the overlay area — known as a critical digital infrastructure, or CDI, overlay — proposed by County Executive Jessica Fitzwater's administration in July from 2,566 acres to about 1,700 acres.
