PAGELAND, S.C. — A police officer is facing charges after a domestic violence incident in Chesterfield County.

Brandon Dixon, a Pageland police officer, was arrested on Wednesday. Deputies were called to a domestic dispute that led to the arrest of Dixon.

Pageland Police Chief Dean Short says Dixon was terminated from the department after the arrest.

“Officers are held to a higher standard as part of their duty to protect and serve. That’s why they are held accountable when they fall short," Short said in a statement.

Dixon was booked in the Chesterfield County jail after his arrest. His court records were not yet listed publicly.
