Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the relations between Pakistan and Turkiye had entered a new era of strategic partnership under the "sagacious" guidance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The prime minister, who is currently on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, said in his message on the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye being celebrated today, that the two countries were striving together to unlock the vast potential of the time-tested and enduring ties in all areas of shared interest.

"On the auspicious occasion of the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye, I join the people of Pakistan in extending our warmest felicitations to my dear brother President Erdogan and to the brotherly people of Turkiye," he wrote on his X timeline.
