TRINITY, Ala. - In the entire state of Alabama, only one region title has yet to be claimed.

On Thursday night in Trinity, Deshler (9-0, 7-0 region) and West Morgan (9-0, 7-0 region) will settle things in 4A Region 7.

“Man, it’s gonna feel just like a playoff game,” Rebels’ head coach Drew Phillips said. “That’s what’s exciting about it.”

West Morgan has been one of the most impressive teams in the state over the last several seasons. Since 2022, the team has lost just one regular season game.

Last season, Deshler nearly ended West Morgan’s regular season win streak -- falling 35-34 in double overtime.

“Came up two yards short,” Tigers’ head coach Patrick Malone said of last year’s loss. “So, I think our kids are excited and eager to prove a point.”
