WESTHAMPTON, Mass. —
A Massachusetts grandmother wants to share the story of her driveway paving nightmare, which led to a court fight and a mess outside her home.
"I don't want anybody to go through what I'm going through," said Marion Miller, 84, of Westhampton, who is working her way out of an $11,000 disaster after getting a knock on her door one afternoon with an offer to pave her dirt driveway.
Miller said she declined the man's offer before heading out for the afternoon to run errands. When she returned, the driveway was covered in recycled aggregate rock, and the man asked for payment – but she didn’t give him a cent.
She called her daughter, Patty Greene, who knew something was wrong.
