Two sisters were arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing “high-priced items” including lobster meat and prime ribeye steak from a West Bridgewater Market Basket before assaulting staff who confronted them, records show.

West Bridgewater police identified the pair as Olivia L. Byrd, 37, of Quincy , and Rahjane J. Byrd, 28, of Hyde Park.

Both women were arraigned on Monday in Brockton District Court on assault and battery and shoplifting charges, and released on personal recognizance, records show.

Their lawyers didn’t immediately return calls seeking comment on Wednesday morning.

According to a police report filed in the case, officers were called to the Market Basket location on West Center Street around 5 p.m.
