ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department arrested a man wanted for murder during a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Keith Hawkins is facing multiple charges in connection to the April deadly shooting and other offenses tied to this week's traffic stop.

According to warrants, officers attempted to stop a white Ford Fusion on Pickfair Way SW, near Ashwood Avenue SW, after discovering the vehicle lacked valid insurance. Officers said the driver, Keith Hawkins, pulled over, but as officers approached the window, Hawkins allegedly tried to speed away. Another officer pulled in front of the car, leaving Hawkins' vehicle pinned between the two patrol cars.
