GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Major changes are on the horizon for Green Bay’s Mason Street Bridge, with the Wisconsin DOT sharing its latest studies on Wednesday night.

Project leaders are looking to the community once again for their thoughts on the best path forward.

More than 3,400 people travel the Mason Street Bridge every day. It connects the east and west sides of Green Bay between interstates 41 and 43, but its current traffic patterns can be stressful for drivers.

“As it stands right now, the blind merge at Ashland is very concerning,” says Christina Joski of Green Bay.

The bridge’s reconstruction is expected to start in 2032, but DOT studies meant to address the community’s needs are well underway.
