U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping met Thursday for the first time since Mr. Trump returned to office and launched a trade war against China that has threatened the world economy.
Greeting Mr. Xi at a U.S. airbase in the South Korean city of Busan, Mr. Trump described him as a “very tough negotiator,” joking this was “not good,” but said he was confident “we’re going to have a successful meeting, I have no doubt.”
