SAUCIER, Miss. (WLOX) - It’s any family’s nightmare, and for the Carrs, it happened on Tuesday night.

“I’m just so thankful that my family is safe tonight,” said Jonathan Carr."

Jonathan was at his father’s house when he received a call informing him of a fire at his property.

“We’ve burned out at our property before,” he explained. “We own a large parcel of land. We’d cleared and burned stuff. I thought something might have started out there and no big deal and was going to head that way. So, I was driving over there, and as I began to get closer, I saw the smoke and realized it was more than just a little fire. It was a real fire, and as I got closer I realized the house was on fire.”
