WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he has directed the Department of War to resume nuclear weapons testing.

The announcement was made via Truth Social . Trump cited other countries’ testing programs as the reason for this decision.

In his post, Trump also highlighted his efforts during his first term to update and renovate the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

No further information has been shared regarding any plans the Department of War may have to carry out further nuclear weapons testing.
