Operators of large businesses who open their stores on Sundays and holidays would face fines up to $10,000 under a bill introduced in the Ontario legislature.

The final floor slab was lifted into place on the three-storey Finnish Resthome senior citizens apartment building setting the stage for the completion of inside work on the upper floors. Construction of the 133-unit building at the corner of North Street and Second Line East began last December and should be ready for occupancy in late May 1976.
