Temperatures will fall below freezing again for many areas across New Mexico tonight. A warming trend starts Thursday and will continue into early next week.
Many places across eastern and southeastern New Mexico had their first freeze of the season Wednesday morning. Temperatures in the Albuquerque Metro dropped in the mid and upper 30s, with only the West Mesa and Corrales falling below freezing. High temperatures this afternoon stayed below average with sunshine and calm conditions. Another round of freezing temperatures is likely tonight for areas that saw freezing temperatures this morning. Even southern New Mexico could see freezing temperatures. A Freeze Warning is in effect again from the Albuquerque Metro down to Socorro, along with the Tularosa Basin, Hatch, and Silver City area
